| Qualifications 1. Official
enrollment in an historical black college/university with a declared
major (and/or dual major) in accounting, biology, chemistry, communications, economics,
engineering, business administration, mathematics, physic, or political
science.
2. Documentation of financial need (complete financial status section). 3. Typed detailed paragraph describing community service experience. 4. Typed detailed statement stating why you are applying for this grant and what formal goals you plan to accomplish. 5. Wallet-sized self-photograph must be submitted with mailed application. 6. Must be a full time student, twelve (12) credit hours or more. 7. Confidential statement line sixty-two (62) on application, must attach true copy of latest federal income tax return
8. Applicant must participate in Student Fellowship for Blacks’ annual fundraisers held in June, or be disqualified.
9. Applicants may have to be interviewed on the first Saturday in August by the screening committee or be disqualified. .
General Information **
Applicants outside of a fifty (50) mile radius of Indianapolis are not
required to attend June meeting nor physically participate in
fundraiser. ** Application deadline date is on or before June 3rd. ** If lines 3-9(qualifications) are not completed the application is Incomplete and will not be accepted.
** June 11, 2011 (1-2 P.M.). A meeting will be held at Forest Manor Multiservice Center 5603 East 38th Street, Indianapolis IN. Applicant must attend. Applicants under dependent status must attend with parents and/or guardians.
** Each winner will receive $1,000.00. Applicants may reapply each year. Open to undergraduates and graduates. Winners are notified by phone or letter. ** For extra points – Parents/guardian, adult family members, or friends may volunteer. ** Please refer to this page for future reference.
